On Saturday, September 6th, Toulouse Interiors opened its gallery doors to present the work of master printmaker and living legend, Carol Summers. Initially a painter, Summers was drawn to color blocking and the technique of woodblock printing which became his trademark. His bold, organic, large-scale woodblock prints are in the permanent collection of virtually every major museum in the world including MOMA, the Met, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Biblioteque Nationale in Paris, and in prestigious Kunstmuseums throughout Europe. The opening reception attracted an energetic crowd of locals who enjoyed wine and cheese while exploring Summers' beautiful body of work. The show will be open to the public through October 11th.
